Larry and Sheryl — proud owners of Carter Mechanical

Carter Mechanical was founded in 2003 with a simple goal: build a heating and cooling company that homeowners could truly trust.

Based in Yale, Michigan, Larry and Sheryl Carter set out to create something different from the typical HVAC experience. No pressure. No gimmicks. No fine print. Just honest recommendations, quality workmanship, and a commitment to doing the job right the first time.

From the beginning, the focus has been on serving homeowners throughout St. Clair and Sanilac Counties with dependable comfort solutions designed specifically for Michigan’s demanding seasons.  Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Larry came over looked at our house size and gave us a Fantastic deal on a new Coleman system to Heat/Cool our home in July. His team did a great job installing the unit and we couldn’t be happier. Our Hot Water heater went in September and Larry took care of us on a New Hybrid system. His team showed us the ways to maximize the way we use it and this system meets our daily use. The price and the craftsmanship with Carter Mechanical will keep us coming back. Since the whole HVAC system was 26 years old we were unsure whether to replace only AC or the whole system.  I had several other companies estimates, but Larry was the only one who took the time to look over the heating system and explain to me the signs he was observing that our heat exchanger was possibly cracked.  The price was competitive to the other estimates and I am so glad we chose Carter Mechanical as our heat exchanger did have 3 cracks in it!  I received the estimate and called on Monday to accept the quote and by Thursday afternoon our installation was complete.  While the technician was here they noticed a problem with the venting on our hot water tank and repaired that also!  It nice to have the AC back on with this heat and it's comforting to know we will be safe this winter too.

Larry, 1st off, is the most knowledgeable man when it comes to anything HVAC related. We truly appreciate the time he took to throughly explain everything to us and the “no pressure to buy” that he exemplifies. The installation crew we had was top notch. These guys took their time to make sure everything was spot on. No mess left behind, welcoming to our fur babies that just wanted to see what was going on, respectful and very kind. Jeff was also amazing as he listened to our needs and brainstormed a game plan with my husband to get the future jobs done. Highly recommend Carter Mechanical to anyone that needs HVAC work!

I've had my share of not so great. Carter mechanical went above n beyond helping me get a water heater. The receptionist didn't stop. She called and dealt with homeserve so many times. Semco. She cared and fought to help me. The guys were also amazing explaining everything step by step from start to finish. I've already recommended them to others that need stuff like I did. Very grateful!
